Beyond Playing with the Ball: A Fantastic Journey from Hobby to Vocation

Event Introduction:

Hsing-Ho Chen — former Cirque du Soleil performer, founder of Hsing Ho Co., Ltd., and 2013 TEDxTaipei speaker — has toured the world since returning to Taiwan, delivering his talk “The Man Who Came Back from the Sun.” Now in its 15th year, his journey continues to inspire audiences globally.

At age 17, Chen’s passion was ignited after watching a Cirque du Soleil performance. He boldly declared, “I want to join Cirque du Soleil!” Though that dream once seemed out of reach, ten years later he received the long-awaited invitation — realizing, “I really can do it!” He went on to become one of the few Taiwanese performers to join Cirque du Soleil, carving out a place for himself on the global stage despite limited resources.

This event combines demonstration performances, live interaction, and storytelling through a lecture format. You are invited to experience up close how art can transform a life.
